AN UNCOMMON PROJECT

LIFE IN COMMON LAND (LCL) is a demonstrative and collaborative project, focused on the conservation of raised and blanket bogs, and wet heathland habitats included in the Natura 2000 Network.

The project's geographical scope is the Special Area of Conservation Serra do Xistral, where most of the land is held collectively under the figure of common land (in Galician, montes veciñais en man común): private properties under a right-to-use title held by local commoners.
